Objectives
The Climate Change Sub-Committee was established in 2008 with the principal aim to research the effects of Climate Change on the Built Heritage, particularly on World Heritage Sites.
As an outcome of research funded by the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government, it has recommended climate and impact monitoring at two proposed sites: Brú na Bóinne World Heritage Site and Clonmacnoise which is placed on Ireland's Tentative List.
