The ICOMOS Ireland Cultural Landscapes National Scientific Committee are pleased to announce the launche of the Irish Rural Landscape Photography Competition 2012. Please click here for further information on the competition and how to enter.

The Cultural Landscapes National Scientific Committee currently has eight members:

Elizabeth Morgan (Convener) is senior landscape conservation architect with Office of Public Works. She is involved in conservation advisory and implementation works to historic landscapes and gardens.

Prof Gabriel Cooney
is Professor of Celtic Archaeology at the UCD School of Archaeology.

Jacqui Donnelly is conservation architect with the Architectural Heritage Advisory Unit of the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. She has authored a number of conservation advisory publications for DoEHLG.

Margaret Gowen  MA MIAI is an archaeological and heritage consultant with over 25 years experience in development-led heritage mediation (development control, planning and EIA) interdiscplinary conservation projects and archaeological mitigation. Member ICAHM.

Louise Harrington is a freelance conservation consultant with a special interest in historic landscapes.

Dr Finola O'Kane-Crimmins is lecturer in architecture and conservation at the UCD School of Architecture Landscape and Civil Engineering. She authored a book on Landscape Design in Eighteenth-Century Ireland.

Patrick Shaffrey is an architect and town planner with Shaffrey Associates. He has authored several books dealing with architecture and landscape including the neglected area of rural planning.
