The Sub-Committee currently has six members:
Mary McMahon (Convener) is a professional archaeologist specialising in the medieval and industrial periods, currently consultant archaeologist with Dublin City Council dealing with planning issues.
Mary Hanna is an architect in private practice. She worked with the Heritage Council from 1996 to 2004 and was responsible for the Council’s architectural policy development.
Rob Goodbody is a historic building consultant and professional planner with more than 30 years' experience.
Susan Roundtree is a senior architect at Dublin City Council and an accredited Conservation Architect. She has practice experience of working with existing buildings in both public and private sectors.
Gráinne Shaffrey is an architect and urban designer in private practice. Projects include restoration and adaptation of industrial heritage and vernacular structures, as well as studies for Irish towns and villages.
Peter Cox is founder and managing director of Carrig, a firm offering specialist consultancy in the field of building conservation to private architectural practices, local authorities and corporate developers.
All members of the sub-committee have extensive experience in the field of public and private practice and have published material on aspects of industrial heritage, archaeology, and architecture.
